Wander Back Beerworks: Vineland's Newest Craft Brewery Launch

Introduction to Wander Back Beerworks

Welcome to the latest addition to the South Jersey craft beer scene, Wander Back Beerworks! Situated in Vineland, this exciting new brewery is about to make waves in Cumberland County. Already known for being home to Glasstown Brewing Company in Millville, Cumberland County now proudly welcomes Wander Back Beerworks. This article dives into what makes this Vineland brewery unique and what it has in store for you.

Meet the Wander Back Beerworks Team

Wander Back Beerworks isn’t just another brewery; it’s founded by three veterans of the brewing industry. Christopher Henke, one of the founders of Cape May Brewing Company, joins forces with Cape May’s original head brewer, Brian Hink, and former general manager of sales and distribution, Justin Vitti. Collectively, they bring 33 years of brewing and distribution experience to Vineland’s newest brewery.

Henke mentioned, “I had no plans to go back to brewing. It was never in my vision to open another brewery. But when these guys came to me, it was like Doc and Marty asking me to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance – you just don’t say no.”

What to Expect from Wander Back Beerworks

The highly-anticipated starting lineup includes two main beers. The Wanderback Lager and the Perfectly Cromulent IPA, slated to hit the market in late May. But that’s not all – a third beer, the Future Proof Pils, is already in the works. While they are getting off the ground, Wander Back is brewing their beers at Hidden Sands Brewing Co.’s facility in Egg Harbor Township.

Distribution and Tasting Room Information

Initially, Wander Back Beerworks will self-distribute its beers across several counties including Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, and Gloucester. This means South Jersey craft beer lovers will soon have access to these unique brews even before the tasting room opens in Vineland. You’ll find the Vineland brewery’s products in various venues across these counties.

Why Vineland?

So, why did they choose Vineland? According to Brian Hink, “There are 144 breweries in New Jersey, and if you look at the map on NewJerseyCraftBeer.com, there’s a gigantic hole in Vineland. A few have tried – it seems like a logical place to open a brewery.” With its under-served market and enthusiastic local community, Vineland is the perfect spot for Wander Back Beerworks to thrive.

Exciting Times Ahead

The arrival of Wander Back Beerworks in Vineland signifies an exciting time for local beer aficionados. With a trio of experienced brewers at the helm, a diverse beer lineup, and a strategic focus on underserved markets, this Vineland brewery is set to become a staple in South Jersey’s craft beer scene. Keep an eye out for their beers, launching soon at a venue near you!
